About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Hello, I have a weird predicament. I (US Citizen) am currently in China-Chengdu, visiting with my fiance. My (1-year multiple visit/90-day stay) visa expires on May 5 and I am scheduled to depart on June 11. However, we are completing her K1-Fiance Visa (for the US) and I am afraid her interview for that in Guangzhou will spill into late June/early July (after my scheduled departure). I heard it is almost essential that I be present with her during the interview - so herin lies my question. Could PSB or Chengdu Consulate extend my current visa stay period to 120 days OR should I depart the country temporarily then return before my visa expires (to reset the 90-day stay). I appreciate ANY advice and thank you in advance.

It is abvisable to exit China temporarily, then enter China before your visa expires, then you get another 90 days stay for the new entry.
