My daughter is invited the parent to visit them and stay with them for short period about 3 months. What type of visa should I apply and can I stay in China for 90 days. You should apply for tourist visa for family visit, it is possible for you stay in China for 90 days, the required documents:
(i) Original passport remaining to be valid for at least six months from the date of application and with sufficient blank visa pages.

(ii) One completed Visa Application Form (e-Form / Download) with a recently-taken passport photo stuck on it; all the items on the application form should be completed neatly with genuine information;

(iii) invitation letter from your daughter prescribing the stay duration, purpose, the information of inviter and invitee, copy of your daughter's residence permit

(iii)kinship certificate between you and your daughter

as for the visa procedures, you'd better refer to http://www.visaforchina.org.my
