About:Chinese Embassy in India

Hi,
My company is sending me to china for 3-4months. I would like to take my wife along . However, company clearly said that they cannot do processing of my wife and i have to do it. What is the procedure i have to adopt to make sure i bring my wife along with me for the period of my stay. I would assume that my company would make bussiness visa for me .

I think that you can have a try to apply for a tourist visa for your wife in this way, if you get the business visa, then you can use the copy of your business visa and your passport's information pages, marriage liense to prove that your wife come to China to accompany you. Besides, the following documents are also required:
1. Application form:
Your wife should fill in one visa application form appropriately and authentically.
2. her passport valid for at least six months with at least 2 blank visa pages.
3. One her recent passport size photograph.
4. One her Passport photocopy.

However, if it is tourist visa for my wife, then the stay is for 30days only.right? if so, does she have to come back to india and re-enter china for the next month and so on till my stay ?

or she can stay with me for the entire duration of my stay ?

Also, can we both apply for visa together or i should apply first and then using that information apply her's

Please let me know

yes, it is tourist visa for your wife, you can ask for the stay duration 90 days on the application form, the final decision is subject to the decision of visa officer, if the wife only gets a single entry tourist visa permits 30 days stay duration, she can have a try to apply for extension of stay duration after entry at the local Exit & Enter Department under the Public Security Bureau. The disadvantage is that your company is not willing to send covering letter to the visa office. You'd better refer to http://www.visaforchina.in to find the detailed information.
