Question

I am a Singapore PR Holding Malaysian Passport. I am planning to visit a China friend in Wuxi and we are planning to have a tour in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuxi by our own, free and easy. This trip will be started from 14May until 21May.I have round-trip air ticket. But, I don't have the hotel reservation as we may take the budgeted accommodation. In addition, I don't even have certificate to prove my relationship with my friend. (kindly refer to the details at below). In this case, can I still proceed to apply Visa. Ms.Pauline Pong, you can have a try to apply for Chinese visa in this way, your Chinese friend send you an invitation letter to specify your relationship and the stay duration, entry time, depature time, and the copy of his ID card, you use this documents for vissa application. Sometimes, the visa officer will not check your hotel reservation.
