About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Hello, I am a British national in Korea on a D8 visa. In April I will be moved to Shanghai for three years. Can I organise a work visa and temporary residency permit here or should I do that once in China?

you can apply for a work visa in Korea, but you should get the temporary residence permit in China. Z visa holder has to apply for temporary residence permit within 30 days after entry.
