About:Kunming Travel

I'M PLANNING TO DRIVE FROM BANGKOK TO KUNMING USING MY PERSONAL VEHICLE, IT HAS THAI DIPLOMATIC PLATES AS I WORK FOR THE US EMBASSY. OTHER THAN A VISA FOR MY ENTRANCE, SHOULD THE BLUE BOOK BE ENOUGH TO CLEAR CUSTOMS? IF NOT WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED?
THANKS!

If you would like to travel by your own vehicle, you need to get an approved document from National Tourism Administration of PRC. This will be somewhat complicated especially for you hold diplomatic passport. My suggestion is that please contact an internationl travel agent in Bangkok for help.
