About:Hongkong Attractions

Hi there,
I have a 12hr stop over in hongkong from 6am-6pm. I would like to make the most of this city.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I would love to see Ngong Ping Village, Po Lin Monastery, Giant Buddha and Golden Bauhinia Sq.
I hear the flag raising ceremony is at 7:50am, how far is the square from the airport?
And then travel from the square to Tung Chung Terminal... is that possible?
Any other suggestions? :D

Ms.Ashlee,

The airport is far away from Golden Bauhinia Sq. You may need to take S1 airport shuttle bus to Tung Chung (5 to 10 minutes). Then take Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong MTR Station and walk to Central MTR Station to take Island Line to get off at Wan Chai. This journey takes around 50 minutes. Get out at Exit A4 or A5 and follow the road signs to Golden Bauhinia Square on foot. It takes around 10 to 15 minutes. If you hurry up, you may see flag raising ceremony in time.

Ngong Ping Village, Po Lin Monastery, Giant Buddha are close to each other. After seeing flag raising ceremony, you just get back to Wan Chai MTR Station to take Island Line back to Central. Then walk to Hong Kong MTR Station and take Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung MTR Station. Then go to Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal to take Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to Ngong Ping. After getting to Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal, you just need to walk around 5 mintes to Giant Buddha. After that, just walk to Po Lin Monastery.
