I will be visiting my father's hometown in a village near MaiHao town, Wenchang in mid Apr.
I was there more than 6 years ago and I suppose things have changed a lot.
This time, I intend to stay in the village house but to visit places around WenChang and Haikou by public buses.

My queries:
1. How to get to the Wenchang town from the village? Any dial cab service to recommend if I do not mind dailing a cab to the village house? If I can get to Wenchang, I am sure I can catch buses to Haikou.

2. When are landmark shopping areas in Haikou where I can travel easily on foot?
