About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

My husband and I are travelling to China at the end of Oct for 17 days. We live in Saskatchewan and we're wondering if we can apply for our visa's in Calgary. How far in advance does one need to do this and how long are they valid from issue date?

Mrs.Wieting, yes, you can apply for Chinese visa in Calgary because Saskatchewan is under the Consulate General of China in Calgary, you need to apply for Chinese visa one month before your planned travel, you can apply for it in Sep or early October as you stated that you will go to China at the end of Oct. the single entry tourist visa is generally valid for 3 months from the issue date.

If you cannot or do not wish to travel to Calgary personally, you can use an agent, preferably one authorized by the Consulate to provide service to the public. That can save you time and money.

I too am from Saskatchewan and it would be difficult to travel all the way to Calgary. Is there an agent in Regina, SK that is authorized by the Consulate? Thank you for any assistance!

Mrs.Chamney, you can send a repersentative to the consulate for visa application, anyone you know and trust, it is unnecessary to find a agency for this.
