About:Victoria Peak

Hi! Our first day in Hong Kong will be on April 6, 2010 which is a public holiday. What time do you suggest visiting The Peak so that there will be no huge crowds to compete with in riding the tram. Our arrival time is at 7:40 am. Well be travelling to TST to check-in first in our hotel. Then after that, we plan on visiting the peak and stanley, then Avenue of Stars and the Symphony of Lights at 8pm.
Thank you!

Ms.Sofia,
You may go to visit the Victoria Peak in the late afternoon or during the evening. At that time, there might not be too crowded. After visiting the Peak, you may take 6, 6A and 6X from Central Exchange Square to Stanly. It takes around 55 minutes. However, if you visit the Victoria Peak in the late afternoon and then get to Stanly, I am not sure that you can get back on time to visit the Avenue of Stars and enjoy the Symphony of Lights.

See, the Symphony of Lights begins at 8 pm.

Thank you!

We plan on visiting Stanley first then The Peak (at 5:30 p.m.). Will there be enough time to catch the SoL?

Our other plan would be to visit the peak after the SoL. How many minutes does the SoL last? Will this be a good idea or is the time just too late to enjoy The Peak?

Hoping for your reply.
Thank you very much!

Ms.Sofia,

The Symphony of Lights begins at 8 pm. If you arrive at the peak at 5:30 pm, you will have a hurry trip and won’t have much fun. It is better to visit the peak after you enjoy the Symphony of Lights. The show just lasts 15 minutes. Then you can use MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central and then go to Central Peak Tram Terminal to take peak tram. It operates from 7 am to 12 midnight (Mon - Sun & Public Holidays).

Thank you very much Mr. Andy!
We have decided to just visit The Peak after the Symphony of Lights.
Are the stores there still open? Can we still have fun there even if we are there from 8:30 to 11:00?

Thank you!

Ms.Sofia,

I am afraid that you can’t get to the peak at 8:30 pm. You might get there around 9:00 pm. And you may go to Peak Tower for a visit. You can eat and go shopping there. The peak tower closes at 11:00pm.
