HiI'm a Singaporean and wish to travel to China for a 25days holiday trip in Mid May 2010.Right now I'm staying in Taipei so I will mail my passport to Singapore and entrust a friend to apply the Chinese visa on my behalf. 1. My air tickets reservation will be: Taipei to Kunming and back to Taipei2. I have got no hotel reservation as I will be visiting a friend in Zhongdian.Can my application be accepted?

Ms.Ng, you need the invitation letter from your friend, the copy of his passport or ID card if you don't provide the hotel reservation. Ms. NG, in fact, I can't sure that you can get the Chinese visa in Singapore because your air tickets are from taipei to Kunming and back to taipei. If your application is refused, there is another option, you can go to China without visa because singapore citizens are exempt from a visa to Mainland China for up to 15 days, after you arrive, you apply for Chinese vsia in the exit & enter department under the local Public Security Bureau.
