This is Maui, USA. I AM LEAVING TO CHINA ON 5/1/10, MY QUESTION IS, DO I NEED GUIDER TO HELP ME AROUND BEIJING AND THE GREAT WALL? OR CAN I GO AROUND MYSELF? IS THERE PEOPLE AROUND SPEAK ENGLISH? AFTER BEIJING AND THE GREAT WALL, I WANT TO GET A AIR TICKET TO KUNMING AND WENSHAN ALSO.

You do not need a guide to help travel around especially on the Great Wall. People around you probably can speak English, including those street vendors. For tickets? You can get some information here and book the tickets also in this page:
