Ms.KG, Chinese embassy in Singapore issue tourist visa to aliens who hold PR, WP, EP, STP, DP, however, for Filipino applicants, it seems that they have to return to Philippines to apply for Chinese tourist visa, I don't know the reason, but I read the experience of many Filipino applicants who are refused in Singapore.

Will try my luck...

Will I know if I'll get refused the same day I apply? Or I'll only know if it's denied after 4 days?

Ms.KG, you'd better go to the Chinese embassy in person to enquire whether you can apply for Chinese visa in Singapore or not. If they say yes, then you book flight ticket to China and the return ticket, hotel booking for visa application, otherwise, you don't need to book them to avoid to waste much money. As I know, a Philippines passport holder provide all required documents for tourist visa application, he has booked the two way flight tickets, however, his application is denied and was asked to go back to Philippines to apply, when he goes to Manila, the visa office in the Embassy in manila said that he should hold the flight ticket from Manila rathern than Singapore, oh, my god! He was very angry to waste a large sum of money, the two way flights, the ticket to Manila for visa application, etc, money, time
