About:China Visa on Arrival

Hi. I need to attend a trade expo in shanghai from march 1-5 and i have an invitation. The organizer advised me that I only have to show the invitation letter to the embassy for me to be granted a visa. i already have hotel reservations and flight tickets. But I am on tour so when i was in bangkok last week, i tried to get a visa there but was not granted. I flew here in hongkong hoping i could get one cause i am nearer, but they are asking for a hongkong id. i am not an ofw, i do not have that. can i get a visa on arrival in shanghai? thanks.

Ms.leaj, it is very hard to get a visa on arrival in Shanghai except that the organizor issue an official notice to the airport in Shanghai. In fact, you should apply for Chinese visa in Philippines.

Hi Mr. Alex. Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. Actually the organizer has given me an admittance id number but i still dont know if it could suffice the immigration people's requirements. Yeah, maybe next time I should prepare well. It's just that i really regret that my travel to shanghai has been cancelled. I was looking forward to it. I might instead go to Macau and nearby Zhuhai. Thanks again and good day.
