About:China Customs Declaration

Am hopefully going to study in china this year, on top of my laptop I plan to take an external memory drive could that pose a problem and would I have to pay tax??

Mr.kj,

You needn’t pay tax for your external memory drive if it is for personal use. But you need to declare your laptop and external memory drive when you enter China.
