Question

am a nigerian and married to a chinese. after marriage i applied for marriage visa and ws given 6mths and when it expired i applied for another 1 yer and i got it. Now my wife is pregnant and i have no job as i cant work with L visa i have and again the birth permit is an issue. now my question is: how do i get a residence visa or work visa as i intend to live with my wife here for long time and how do we get birth permit? must it be in her hometown alone or can we do it elsewhere? and without birth permit what will be the status of our baby? Mr.joe, I guess that you can get the birth permit from the Civil Affairs Bureau where you made marriage registration. You should find a job in China, then the employer can get the work permit and an official Visa Notification letter from the competent office of the Chinese government for you, then you can apply for work visa.
