About:Tibet Travel Tips

I read on other websites that for travelers who visit ONLY Lhasa, that a Tibet Travel Permit can be issued on the airport and that no tour group has to be booked. Is this true?

Mr.G,

I don’t know where you learnt the info. Better contact Tibet Tourism Bureau or their representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu (in Sichuan) and Golmud (in Qinghai) to confirm what you have heard. The contact info have been listed above.
