About:China Customs Declaration

I'm travelling from US to China later this week. Will I have a problem taking 4 laptops through customs. One is my personal one, and 3 are gifts for the family I'll be staying with.

Mr.Tyler,

First, you need to declare them before you pass through the customs. Then, you will pay the tariff for the other three laptops according to the customs regulations.

See this provision “Any item that will be left in China whose value exceeds 2,000 CNY need to be declared.”
