About:Shantou Transportation

I have a plan to Shantou and my mom requests me to go to xuan wu mountain (玄武山).
so i want to know how to get there from the shantou airport and do you have any suggestion about travel place in shantou , chaozhou and around.

It is not very easy for you to get to Xuan Wu Mountain from Shantou Airport, for there is no direct bus connection. You can take airport bus to the city center and get to Shantou bus station to look for bus to Lufeng City. After arriving in Lufeng, take bus to Jieshi Town. Then take bus 9 and get off at Yuan Shan Temple. That is the mountain foot.

Thank you, Mr.Jamie for your warm reply.
now, i have change my plan.
I will start from Guangzhou to xuan wu mountain and then from xuanwu , i will go directly to shantou.
I have searched for how to get to xuanwu from guangzhou.
They said, I have to go to shanwei first, then take the bus to lufeng and then jieshi ...

Do i have to go to shanwei first? Can i go directly to lufeng from guangzhou.

and when i want to back to shoutou from xuan wu , i am better follow your suggestion direction.
