About:Baggage Allowance and Transportation

My question just disappeared, so trying again. I intend to travel Guangzhou to Chengdu, soft sleeper. I have 3 large suitcases - so I have these questions:
- are there porters at both stations?
- can I check in 2 of my pieces of baggage, so I will be able to travel "light"?
- what will be the cost?

Yes. There are porters at both stations; they help passenger to carry baggages and charge some service fees. Not sure about the exact fees, maybe charged by the weight or by piece, but shall be less than CNY50 for your total baggage. The porters always wear red cap and can be easily found when you need them. Of course you can check your baggage before boarding on the train. As for the cost, luggages are classified into different types and the charge varies. In all, the cost depends on the type of your baggage and the distance of your trip.
