Alternately , you may catch a long distance bus in TianHe bus station in Guangzhou shi to MeiXian [about 5 hrs] or right into your city or county within 6-8 hrs . Flying to Hong Kong & taking a bus ride is your other choice . If you have to stay in a hotel . Guangzhou will be less expensive . Guangzhou Airport Hotel is within 2-5 minutes walk & might cost US$60-120/- per night . 广州天河 long distance bus station . Most local people knows or at least all taxi drivers knows . 天河 area have quite a few hotels as well . Shopping malls are there too . MeiXian[Meizhou] long distance bus station is 梅城江南汽车站 ; 江北汽车站 & may be 1 more. The JiangNan [the first one] should be right in the city . Fare may be 90-130 yuan one way . Approximate 4.5 hour - 5.5 hours travel time .
