About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

we are going travelling in november 2010 around the world and want to visit china, only problem is we will not be entering china until july/aug 2011 and arriving from japan. What would be the best advice for visa application?

I am not sure about China visa applications in the UK, but in the US the choice is single entry, two entry and one year multiple entry. The costs to us in the US are all the same (USD130), so I always renew my one year visa for multiple entry. If the same in UK, I would suggest this for you as it does not limit your entry date within the one year period. You will be able to travel your journey without concern for dates of entry. Mr. White, I advice that you apply for Chinese visa in Japan about 2 weeks before your trip to China, it is easy for UK citizen to get a Chinese visa in Japan.
