About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi
I am a Malaysian passport holder residing in Australia. I intend to travel to Mt Kailash in Tibet around July/Aug this year.
Do I need Chinese Visa. The agent in Kathmandu is organising the group permit. Please advice.

yes, you need the Chinese visa, if you state that you will go to Tibet on the visa application form, the Tibet Entry Permit issued by Tibet Tourism Bureau is also required when you submit visa application, you'd better deal with all issues with the agency in Kathmandu.
