About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

My girlfriend has a job offer in Beijing for 2 years, I would like to go and live with her on a tourist visa. Is there any limit on the number of times I can get a tourist visa reissued (in Hong Kong or NZ/UK if i'm going for a visit)?
Also, what are the chances of getting a multiple entry visa, as I would like to go visit other parts of Asia.
Cheers

If you haven't been China before, you can't get a multiple entry tourist visa of China, you have to provide many documents to prove that you need the multiple entry, such as the itinerary, transportation documents, etc

I do not want to disagree with Norman, but China has relaxed Visa apps considerably in the last few years. Multiple entry 1 yr Visas are available and I would encourage you to apply for one. Worst case scenario is that they deny and you must apply again. One thing I would point out though is that your visa, regardless of valid duration or number of entries, only allows for 90 day stay in China. You must exit and return if you wish to stay longer. I hope you and your girlfriend enjoy your time in China. I have been visiting extensively for 9 years and I would not trade it for anything. Cheers.
