About:Chinese Embassy in Jordan

This is Raed AlSaleh a Jordanian citizen. I have had recently the opportunity to be employed in the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong in the position of Research Assistant.
The university advised that it would be preferable if I obtain a working visa for entering Hong Kong prior to coming in order to be able to start my duties there immediately. Consecutively; I have received from the university's administration all the needed documents for this purpose.
The Chinese embassy in Amman-Jordan declared that a Jordanian does not need a visa for entering Hong Kong, accordingly they are not used to release these kind of visas (working visa).
Therefore, I am here asking for your kind advise (either for myself or for the Consular Office in the Chinese embassy in Amman) to find the proper solution to over this obstacle.

Mr.Raed AlSaleh, the Chinese embassy in Jordan can't issue HK work visa to you, even though you submit Hk visa application to it, they send your visa application to Immigration Department of HKSAR Government to get approval, it costs much time. There are two other options, you can submit your visa application to the HKSAR Immigration Department either directly by post or through a local sponsor. I suggest that the Polytechnic University as your sponsor send the application to the immigration department.
