About:China Business Visa

I need to go to Shanghai to attend a 3-day conference by an organizer from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Does this qualify for a a business visa or a tourist visa?

If the Chinese counterpart in Shanghai issue you an Invitation letter and original Notification Letter, you can apply for business visa, otherwise, you have to apply for tourist visa.
