About:Getting to Dongguan

I will be arriving in Shantou airport from Singapore at 4pm and plan to go straight to Dongguan for two days and later to Guangzhou. Please advise what is the best method (taxi or bus) to take ? What is the distance between 1) Shantou and Dongguan and 2) Dongguan and Guangzhou ?

Dongguan is 500km from Shantou, 6 hours by bus and is inly 60km from Guangzhou, 0.5-1 hour. The best method is bus. Very expensive to take a taxi.
