About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

I am an American, currently traveling in Rome, and I'm planning on going to Shanghai next month - will it be possible to get a Chinese visa while I'm here? I do not have an Italian residency permit, since I am only here as a tourist. Thanks for our help.

I think you can get a Chinese visa in Rome if you have the valid Italian visa or legal entry permit on your passport, the Chinese visa regulations to USA citizens are not very strict.
