what are the major impacts of confucianism on society in the world today and in ancient china. How did the principle of confucianism help relieve ancient china of the warring states period

Confucianism advocates benevolence, which fits in today's harmonious society.

But acturally, in the warring states period when Confucius propagated his thoughts, he was always refused by the kings of most states. Because in that turbulent days, each powerful state eagerly engaged in wars. The benovolence idea could not work at that time.
