About:Lijiang Travel

Hi,

I wanted to visit Lijiang in September 2010. Can anyone tell me what is the weather like during mid September and also is Kunming the nearest airport to Lijiang? 8 hours of bus ride is no kidding. Or is there train service from Kunming to Lijiang? Do not want to spend too much time on traveling.

Appreciate if anyone can share some experience with this and thanks.

I have just travelled by minibus from Kunming to Lijiang and the roads are not that good the journey took us about 10 hrs and was pleased to get it over with. There is an airport at Lijiang and I think there is a rail link, I could certainly see a railtrack most of the way from the minibus. I think the weather during autumn and winter is dry.Have a good trip!.Graham.
