About:Guangzhou Airport Long Distance Bus

is the metro/subway from guangzhou east railway station to Baiyun airport in operation? if not, is there any other train connection to Baiyun airport?

Not yet. No other train connection, but only shuttle bus. You can find shuttle bus pick-up point at CITIC Plaza at the south end of the sqaure opposite the east railway station.
