You can take trolley at the bus station nearby the hotel to Central. The escalator is nearby the Exit D2 of Central mtr station, between Jubilee Street and Queen's Road Middle. Bus 811 can take you to Central Market, the starting point of the scalator, alighting at Wing Kut St from Water St. I don't think it is a much experience in Hong Kong, but it is nearby the Peak. You can take it if you want when you visit the Peak.
