Is it possible to have a Shanghai Expo ticket for the day, where we could perhaps return to our hotel in the middle of the day to relax, and then return, and are their events or shows in the evening?

The Expo ticket is for one-time use which means that if you would like to re-enter the Expo, you will need to purchase another ticket. Generally there are different shows each day which will be known intraday.
