I have spare afternoon in Beijing and would like to visit the Summer Palace, what is the best and fastest way to get there and back? I would like to know if there are any afternoon tours or if it is better to get a taxi there and back (is that easy and what would be the cost of the taxi trip). I would prefer not to do public transport.

Hi sir, where is your location? If you stay at the downtown Wangfujing area, it's easy and cheap to take a taxi there, about CNY20yuan could be enough.
