I'm about to sign a contract with a chinese buyer. Is there any way I can verify his credibility?

Ask them to offer their certificate including register ducument and check it through Administration for Industry and Commerce. Or you can check through Chinese commercial organ or Embassy in Poland. If it is a big deal, it is worthwhile spending some money to entrust an agent to verify.
