About:China Customs Declaration

I am currently visiting China for a conference. I am under the care of a US Doctor who prescribes 3 medications every month (1 is a controlled substance Oxycodone CR) and I just filled a month supply which I will have a friend MAIL THESE TO ME however I wanted to see if I needed to do anything in order to have these mailed to me. I have been under this doctors care for several years after a major accident and do not want to get medications that I am not familiar with..

I have already obtained a Doctors Diagnosis, copy of the prescription and paperwork from my US pharmacy but I have been told many different things. UPS now says that I need to get approval from the Ministry of Healht.

Any answers you can provide will be appreciated. Do I need to decalare this in the shipment documents? Is there a limit on the dollar value (I have 1 month supply approximately $1200)? Is there any special forms or someone I should ask prior to sending this? If they do not let this in will they return to me or confiscate them? I have been trying to find a response for over 3 weeks but continue to get different answers. Thank you for any help.
