About:Yunnan Travel

Five of us from Singapore will visit Yunnan from 3 Jan to 14 Jan 2010. We plan to be traveling Kunming - LuoPing - YuanYang (Terrace Rice Field) - DongChuan (Hong Du Di) - Kunming. During this season, would the colour of these places be nice? Worth it?

The other plan I have is to go Kunming - LuoPing - Kuming - Lijiang. But I heard that Lijiang is touristy.

Any advice? thank you.

Jan is not the most beautiful season of Yunnan. I prepfer sring from March, when the natural scenery is charming. Yes, you should not miss Lijiang. Almost every travelers will fall in love with this ancient city.

The Red Soil Area is very cold in January and do not expect too much comfort there, but you should have pretty good weather. However, of course, the fields have been harvested and the fields are bare. The best time is in October.
