About:Chinese Embassy in Switzerland

I am a Swiss citizen and will be traveling to Shanghai in Feb. I will be needing a visa but apparently the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland only operates from 9am-12pm. Unfortunately, I work from 7am - 10pm Monday-Saturday. How do I go about getting a visa in this case?

Thank you,

I am an Italian citizen on holiday in Switzerland. From here I plan to go directly to Shanghai to visit my family. I called the Chinese Embassy but they told me I can not go through them to get a visa since I am neither Swiss nor a Swiss resident? Is this even possible? My Canadian brother in law got his chinese visa in Italy... Shudn't it be the same everywhere???

Thanks for the Info. Does any one know where I can find an agency that could do this for me in Lausanne?
