I am Canadian. I have my passport, but can I enter China without my visa and for how long? thanks

If you are transit passenger at Shanhai Hongqiao or Pudong Airport with related materials present, you can stay at shanghai within 48 hours. Otherwise you have to apply for visa if you want to visit China.
