About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

I am a UK citizen who is currently traveling the world by cycle, I am wanting to head over to tour around china after going to indo china and can not seem to work out where the best place is to get a 90 or 180 day tourist visa. I hope to fly from sydney to bangkok and travel over land up to china, which is going to take some time (approx 1 month). Any advice as to where I am guaranteed to get a visa for longer than the standard 30 days?
thanks for any help

Those who like to travel through China by his/her own vehicle or on foot have to find a travel agent in their own countries first. And then they should submit the document specifying the name list of the travelers, touring schedule (namely, port and time of entry, touring route, cities to call at and programs in China) and the vehicle information through the travel agent in their own countries to an authorized international travel agency in China three months in advance. The following international travel agency in China can be contacted on this occasion:

China Travel Service, Head Office
Address: 2, Beisanhuan East Road, Beijing-100028, P.R. China
Tel: 0086-10-6462 2288 Fax: 0086-10-6460 3185
