I am enquiring on behalf of my employee from China who is holding a work permit and his permit is expiring in Mar 2010. His passport is also expiring in Aug 2010. Can my worker renew his passport through the China Embassy in Singapore or he needs to return to China?

Your employee should go to Chinese embassy in Singapore in person for passport renewal. The following documents are required to submit: 1. one completed passport visa application form 2. two passport color photos 3. original passport and its copy 4. original and copy of Singaporean work permit It takes 10 working days, the fee is 95 Singaporean dollars. Please pay the fee in Cash.
