About:China Customs Declaration

Hi

I am visiting my daughter and son who are in China and I would like to bring 6 tins of baby formula to give to the grandchildren as gifts for Christmas. I will put the baby formula in the checked-in suit cases ( not carrying it on with me), is this permitted? Would I have any trouble in getting through customs?
