About:China Visa Exemption

i have the same question as below. I am an American citizen with a 5 hour layover on christmas day, in Shanghai and am wanting to leave the airport and go into the city. do i need a visa/ transit visa?

You don't need a transit visa for 5 hours layover in Shanghai and you can go out of the airport.
