About:China Visa Exemption

Just wondering if I have a 48hr stopover in Shanghai can I actually leave the airport and go into the city, or is it just to transit in the airport?
Many Thanks

yes, Australian passport holders are permitted to stay in Shanghai airport for less than 48 hours stopover and you can go out of the airport to visit Shanghai.
