1,whn you are in yiw ,you can paymoney as RMB ,some shop accept dollar.
2,small quantity is no problem in yiwu .
3,all seller in the market are legitimate seller . some shop are company ,some are not.

1.most of buyers pay in cash, or T/T (wire transfer)payment later.
2.it depends on the products and its value.
3.most of them just personal seller,some of them are companies.
4.it depends on method of delivery,if you delivery goods by express like UPS or DHL, will save customs fees and custom problems.
5.it depends on which port(destination port)

If you don't need export agent, you can pay some deposit by cash to supplier, when they delivery goods to you, you paid the balance, the currency is RMB, some shop also take US DOLLAR.
2 my orders will be minimums in the range of 500 to 1000 pc is this to low for the Yiwu Market?
Depand on what items you buy, for some items this quantity is not small, also there are a lot of shop has stock.
3. Are all seller in the market legitimate companies?
ALL the suppliers in market is legal and honest, of course, you have to be careful when you order products, it is better to take pictures and other details.
4. Since my orders will be small do i still need a customs broker or can i purchase LDP? (land ,duty,paid)
It is better that you find a honest and reliable export agent, as they will take care everything foryou.
5. Does anyone know whats the average cost for air freight from China to U.S.A Per 100 lbs ?
If ship via DHL express, the price is around USD 5/kg, door to door service, MOQ: 200kgs.
