I shall be travelling to SHENYANG soon,bringing my laptop.Will there be WIFI availableat airport,towns,buses ,train terminals??Do I need connections of any sorts??

Only in airport, Starbucks, McDonald's,KFC, 5 star hotels. Or you should pay some money to buy Wireless Access Point Firmware and wifi service of China Telecom. China Mobile and China Unicom also have wireless internet service.
