You mean Changchun City (the capital city of Jilin Province) or Jilin City?! If you would like to follow the route, it should be take train from beijing to Shenyang first, then to Changchun or Jilin city then, then to Harbin. I guess you meant to Jilin City for skiing and Wu Song (Pine tree with with velvet ice hanging)on the bank od Songhua Jiang River, though they can be also found in Harbin too. A short stay in this city is fine, depending on how many days do you have for this trip.

so you recommended visit Jilin city instead Changchun city??
I would like to stay 1 night in each, and then 2 nights in Harbin. So then is better go to Shangyang first??

I advise you to go to Shenyang first, because it only takes 4 hours from Beijing to Shenyang by motor train. There're lots of places to visit, such as Palace Musuem, Marshal Zhang's Mansion, Qipan Mountain, Ocean Park and Ski.
Northeast China is quite cold now, so remeber to wear down coat.
I live in Shenyang and I hope I can help you if possible.
