Hi all,I will be in Guangzhou on 16 December this year and I will be traveling with my family (4 adults   2 children). We intend to go to Chimelong and then to Shenzhen. I have 2 important questions:(1) Will the weather be too cold for the children to enjoy their visit to Chimelong (the rides, circus and safari?(2) How easy is it for someone who does not understand chinese to take a train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen and then get back to Guangzhou by train again? Where does the train stop in Shenzhen?Thanks for your help.regards,Ali

It is about 8-14C on Dec 16 and 17. Not too cold, but not warm either. No rain predicted that day. The train from Guangzhou stops at Shenzhen Train Station in Luohu. Are you going to buy the ticket at the railway station by your own? Just get to the ticket counters and tell you are leaving for Shenzhen. Ask the hotel to buy the tickets for you if possible. That will be easier.

Don't be fooled, the weather in Guangzhou is not comfortable all year long.  In fact, it's so hot and humid, mixed with smog in the hot season time (July through October), it's miserable.  You will spend most time inside wishing you were on the beach somewhere else.  And the spring is worse too, with rain all day long for days.  It's best to take a chance and visit Guangzhou in November or December, where you will only be hit with the city pollution, and occassional blue-ish hazy sky.
