We are a party of 6 and wish to purchase in advance Air Asia shuttle bus tickets from Shanghai to Hangzhou Airport leaving on a Friday at 8.15am. I notice that the ticket office opens at 8.30am. The web site suggested for advance purchase of tickets by Mr Frankie on 21 November doesn't work. Can we buy the tickets when we board the bus or is there a risk no seats will be available?

If so, you should arrive at the bus station earlier in the morning to book a ticket. Actually, for experienced travellers and locals, taking a bullet train to Hangzhou and then transfer to the Hangzhou Airport by bus or cab is more convenient than taking this bus.
