I will be travelling between Shanghai and Beijing in May2010, what is the best form of transport - flight or train - for tourists?

Flight is fast yet expensive. Take train if you are budget traveller.

The train trip between shanghai and beijing is 12 hours so if u wish to do it make sure u get a soft seat as u can also purchase standing seats. The flights between beijing and shanghai i have found are about 1000 yuan if u book in advance. However if you get the budget seats and you book it a few days in advance you can get it for cheaper.
